Our purpose is to accept and share the love and joy of Jesus Christ through the ministry of women in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church aswe pray, study God's word, and reach out through mission, service, encouragementand fellowship. Who are we? We are the women of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Quite simply, if you are a woman and a member of the church, you are a valuable part of our Women's Ministry. No member is too young. No member is too old. We have something to appeal to everyone.  Does the term "meeting" bring to mind a group of women in business suits sitting around a large table making important decision after long, tiresome discussions? We invite you to join us and see how different our "meetings" are. You'll enjoy relaxed fellowship and sharing of concerns within our Church Family and our Community. We'll spend some time studying God's word and learning what it means in our daily lives. We'll plan and participate in fun and exciting activities throughout the year and of course where women gather there are sure to be some delicious refreshments! Our vision for the decade is biblically based and Christ-centered, born out of a specific sense of mission, the Cumberland Presbyterian Churchstrives to be true to its heritage: To be open to God's reforming spirit; to work cooperatively with the larger Body of Christ; and to nurture the connectional bonds that makes us one. The Cumberland Presbyterian Church seeks to be the hands and feet of Christ in witness and service to the world. Above all, the Cumberland Presbyterian Church lives out the love of God to the glory of Jesus Christ. Your CPW encourages you to set a time of daily prayer and Bible study, praying specifically for our Church as we look toward the future.
