"The board seeks to make the vision a visible reality through six major programs of missions and ministries. The six programs are Evangelism / Missions Services, Humanitarian Service and Justice Ministries, New Church Development and Church Redevelopment, International Missions, The Cumberland Presbyterian Women(CPW),and Special Services. The program design gives a better picture of the total scope of missions and ministries through this board, revealing the unified effort of all staff members and the oneness of mission.

The oneness, or wholeness, of mission is emphasized by the board's structure for implementing and coordinating all programs. Specific activities are assigned to the following four program units: Congregational Ministries Unit; Evangelism and Church Growth Unit; Global Missions Unit; and, Communication and Publications Unit."
