BIOGRAPHY: New Hope is an outreach ministry of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The group grew out of the New Hope Sunday School class at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1998, Les Spencer and Lynn Casey (brother and sister) asked Cliff Hudson to sing with them one Sunday morning during the church's annual Sunday School class singing. Kay Pine, the church's gifted pianist at the time, accompanied the three that Sunday and again one year later. Scott Johnson happened to hear the four practicing for the 1999 singing and they haven't been able to get rid of him since! In 2002, C.D. and Mike Aldridge (son and father) began playing bass and drums, respectively, for the group and Mark Stone joined the group as audio engineer ("sound man")! The group strives to further the Mission Statement of the church.
